Campo Ligure, Italy

Campo Ligure is a small village situated in the Genova Province at the north of Italy.
It has a population of about 3000, and when you arrive there it seems that you're the only stranger in the whole area. If you are looking for a place to hide from the busy and loud city of Genua, this is a greate place!

PLACES OF INTEREST:
CampoLigure Campo Ligure is located in the middle of a forest, on a beautiful river.
There are a few places of interest in the village, such as an old castle and a few churches, but I think that the ultimate thing to do here is just to wander around the small streets, get into some of the art galleries and workshops, listen to the locals, see the market.
The city was once (in mediaeval times) known for the production of filigree. (a tradition still followed in about twenty small workshops)
Il Castello - The date of the castle is uncertain, although it is still in good condition. When I arrived there the only person I met was an old man wandering around with his dog.
L'Oratorio dei SS Sebastiano e Rocco - the church at the city entrance. In the small church there was only one visitor. Old, church that serves probably more like the gate of the village. Every one that enters the town can be seen from the church.
CampoLigure

CampoLigure Main Street Il Palazzo Spinola - the palace is located on the main square of the village, next to La Chiesa della nativita .
It is interesting to sit next to it, see the inner life of the village people. You might even start understanding what they say in Italian, once there are no english speakers around, and the local people try to explain you something ))
